Boxing Day River Race 2018

Our annual Boxing Day race starts as usual from Brabyns Park, Marple Bridge - meet in the car park. Last entry 10.30, race start 11.00. Mince pies and hot drinks for everyone in the Club House after the race. Entry to the race is free, and the winner shall be decided by a complex handicap system involving such things as water levels, the wind direction, the temperature of the water, air temperature, humidity and what happened in Coronation Street on Christmas Day.

Spring Sea Kayaking Meet 23-25th March

The first sea kayaking meet of 2018 is now available to book on the 'Webcollect' page. Both of the club sea kayaks are available to book on the same page. The cost of £12.50 includes camping on Friday and Saturday night at Anglesey Outdoors. There will be trips and sessions to suit beginner and intermediate paddlers. Anyone wishing to upgrade their accommodation still needs to book via 'Webcollect' then make a booking and pay any additional fees to Anglesey Outdoors direct.

Winter Wednesdays continued...

In January we will continue the series of social evenings at the club house called 'Winter Wednesdays'. The idea is to have an informal midweek get together, watch a canoe / kayak movie, slideshow or simply tell a few stories around the woodburning stove. Get down to the club house between 7.30 and 8pm.
