Introduction / Go Canoeing Starter Sessions 2019

These sessions are designed to give you an idea of what the club is like and the sport of canoeing. After a tour of the club site and completion of brief questionnaire you will be kitted out with the necessary safety equipment. Please remember to wear clothing that you don't mind getting wet, a towel and some clothes to change into afterwards.

Then to the river! There the session focuses on having fun and teaching you the basics of how to paddle your kayak.

After the session it's back to the club house for a cuppa and a friendly chat about paddling. If at this point you feel that paddling isn't for you then you are free to seek out dryer pursuits. If you want to go further then we encourage you to join the club and start your paddling by either dropping into the club sessions on Tuesday nights and Sunday mornings or for a more committed approach join the white water training programme every Wednesday night.

Manchester Canoe club welcomes individuals with disabilities, please inform us of your disabilities when registering so we can make the necessary arrangements.
